Check here to learn a little bit more about me and what makes my bags unique

Fabric is a lot like clothing. There are designers/brands and those designers/brands can vary in style and quality. I use some of the best fabric designers and brands in the business. Scalamandre, Pindler, Schumacher, Duralee, Ralph Lauren and Kravet just to name a few. These designers and brands make fabrics that are intended to be used for couture home decor such as window and bed dressings. I even use their upholstery fabrics! Because of the quality of the brands I use, the fabric is far superior to your every day quilting cotton. These designer brands allow me to make stylish yet durable bags.

Also similar to fashion, fabric has colors, patterns and styles that are popular one season only to be replaced with a new trend the following. When I purchase fabric, it is usually for a specific bag so the fabric I purchase is limited in quantity. I rarely go back and purchase the same fabric twice in a season and just like clothing or shoe styles, fabric can be discontinued. Once the fabric is discontinued, I can no longer get that specific fabric. This fact makes all of my bags even more special because I can absolutely guarantee that you are purchasing a one of a kind bag, something truly original and unique, just like you.

What does this mean for you as a potential customer? All of this means if you see a photo of a bag in the gallery tab, or featured in a style description, or even for sale in my existing inventory, the fabric used on that bag is likely no longer available either in my "stash" or for purchase through a fabric vendor. While I want to cater to your design desires as much as possible, I also want to make one of kind bags for one of a kind women. You are unique, and your bag will be too! So, If you see a bag that strikes your fancy, I can pick something similar for you, but it is unlikely I will be able to get the exact fabric again.

Never fear though and don’t let these facts dissuade you from commissioning the perfect bag! There are so many amazing fabrics out there in the universe and I love finding the perfect fit for the bag you dream up. I promise to make something you will love. Finding unique fabric to help you express yourself is part of why I love making bags!

When I sat down to write todays "fact" and thought about what makes myself and my brand unique, “fashionable” was not the first word that came to mind. Eclectic, colorful, bold, unique, artistic…...those were the words that I thought of. Then it dawned on me. That IS fashion. That is art and fashion is just wearable art. My bags are wearable art.

When I think about womens fashion, I think about the many icons who blazed the way for self-expression. Twiggy, Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Ross, Iris Apfel (can I throw Elton some love here too?) I could go on and on. Each of these daring icons used fashion as a way to fearlessly show the world who they were/are. HannahBelle Bags strives to help every woman do just that.

I’ve said it once and I will say it 8 trillion more times. My bags are one of a kind. Just like you. There will never be two the same. Each is inspired by my own vision or the one you describe to me when ordering something custom.

I am more of a Twiggy-Ross combo myself. I love bold colors mixed with unexpected patterns and textures and like Iris Apfel, I absolutely do not believe that "less is more". I am inspired by the music I love and general life experiences that leave an impression on me and I find ways to insert those themes in each bag.

I want to create bags to suit whichever fashion icon lives inside you. Fashion, after all, is a tool to express our individuality and the ladies I mentioned earlier certainly knew how to do it! Their self-expression has had a lasting affect on our culture. They empowered women as a whole and I want my bags to do that for you.

I want you to choose a bag or commission something custom that you can strut around in, proudly showing everyone you meet just a little bit (or a lot a bit) of your amazing personality.

Sometimes I find it hard to believe, but I have been making bags since 2011. I started with zero sewing skills or brand vision. Both have grown tremendously over the years. As I continue on the road of re-branding after selling the trademark to my original name, I can’t help but feel humbled by all the folks who have helped me on my journey. Today I would like to highlight one of them, Whit Evans of Shirt Art, Inc.

Whit, who is a small business owner himself, was the first person ever to commission and purchase a custom bag and he has bought several over the years. I cannot put into words how inspiring and motivating that first step was. I greatly respect his accomplishments and his opinion of my work is invaluable. Whits continued business and selfless sharing of my posts has brought me much needed encouragement to keep chasing this dream of mine.

Whit owns and runs a business in Woodbridge, Virginia called Shirt Art Inc. Shirt Art provides custom screen printing, embroidery and Ad specialties. Our family has been going to him for all our custom apparel needs since I can remember. From my sisters pony club shirts, my high school drum line shirts and hoodies, to my dads annual “old timers weekend” memorabilia, Whit and his crew do it all! They are truly artists and their customer service is next to none.

Here is what Whit had to say about HannahBelle Bags™!

“These bags are absolutely spectacular, both in the design as well as the construction. The attention to detail is remarkable. This is an item that will be used and cherished for years.”

Thank you, Whit, for your unwavering support. I know our friendship and business relationship will continue on for years to come!

If you happen to need custom apparel PLEASE give Shirt Art a call. They truly are the best in the area and when you shop from a small business your are supporting those who live in your community!
